Sybille M a habité 2 ans à New York. Exaltée par le gigantisme de cette ville sans limite, l’artiste choisit la « Big Apple » comme cible picturale d’une série d’oeuvres atypiques. Elle travaille différentes perspectives de la ville sur des planches – matière brute au format allongé rappelant la nature même des buildings – sur lesquelles se superposent des techniques aussi variées que le collage, la peinture à l’huile, le crayon… afin d'exprimer la diversité des émotions que la mégalopole lui inspire.

Sybille M lived for a time in New York. Exalted by the gigantic scale of this city without limits, the artist chose the « Big Apple » as the target of a series of atypical paintings. She works on different perspectives of the city using planks (the long undressed matter of the support reflects the very nature of the building), on which she superimposes a range of techniques – collage, oil paint and pencil – as if better to express the diversity of emotions inspired in her by the megalopolis.
